I am off buying again 30th Aug through to 2nd Sept. As it is a Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK I shall take any parcelled up orders with me and post them on Tuesday. Any orders received after 5pm (UK time) Sunday 29th Aug may not get posted until I am back on Thursday. I will email you to let you know. There is plenty on the site for everyone at the moment and if anybody is wanting to order and wait on payment until I am back that will be absolutely fine.

The holiday is over and it is back to work :0(
Lots of gorgeous items have been added to the website this weekend. I am off on a buying trip tomorrow and back on Wednesday. All the orders this weekend will get posted in the morning but any orders overnight won't go until Wednesday. I will email you to let you know. I have many items waiting to be listed and they should start to appear from Thursday onwards so keep an eye on the site.

I am taking a much needed break from Thursday 22nd July for one week. No orders will be posted though you will still be able to place orders thus reserving charms. You can make payment straight away or wait until I am back if you wish. Please be aware I will not have access to my emails so no correspondence will be answered between the 22nd and the 29th July. The last orders to go will be posted early Thursday morning.

Well I am off on my buying travels again at the beginning of next week, 12th to the 14th July. Orders will be posted on Monday and then the next ones won't be dispatched until Thursday 15th July. Anyone placing an order will be kept up to date as normal. Lots of charms have been added to the site but hopefully a few more will go on before I leave on Monday. Keep an eye out for a new category being added this weekend, Necklace Chains.

I would like to wish all my American customers a very Happy 4th of July.
I haven't managed to get as much of my new stock on the site as I had hoped and I am off buying again for a couple of days. I will be back on Wednesday (7th) and then will be spending a good few days in the office so there will be plenty of new charms added towards the end of the week.

There will be a slight delay on orders this week as I am away for four days starting tomorrow. Any orders placed from Monday 10th May through to Wednesday 12th May will not be dispatched until Thursday 13th at the earliest. I will keep you informed as usual. I am off down to the South on a buying trip so hopefully next week there will be plenty of treasures being added to the site again.

I have been away a lot recently buying but with at least a full week in the office coming up there will be lots of charms listed on the site. Quite a few already added today with a good selection from Victorian through to the 1960s and 70s. A newsletter should go out tomorrow followed by more new lots being added to the site. I am hoping to have some upgrades for the site soon including customer accounts (you will be able to sign in and see purchase history, order status etc) and Google Checkout. Lots of new items have been added to the site that were picked up from my latest buying trip. I am off again buying for a couple of days this week but I still hope to add new lots most days and order dispatch shouldn't be affected. There is an amazing selection of Victorian and Edwardian charms and I hope to sort out some more 1960s and 70s ones to add as well. Please just keep checking back regularly.

URGENT
Please be aware that for the last four days (since Sunday March 7th) my website has not been forwarding emails to me. Any 'online enquiry forms' or 'join subscription forms' have not been received. The problem has now been fixed so if you have completed either of these in the last few days please can you fill them in again and resend them. I will get back to you to let you know that they have been successfully received this time.
Orders were not affected by this problem though they have been delayed because I was away on a buying trip. All outstanding orders have been completed today. Lots of new goodies have been picked up so keep an eye on the site over the next few days as new lots will be added very soon.

Lots of new stock has been added to the site in the last couple of days and there is plenty more still to come. I have had some very successful buying trips with lots of treasures bought so keep an eye on the Most Recently Added category over the next week. Hopefully I shall get a newsletter out over the weekend with a few sneak previews of what is up and coming....some cracking charms! Apologies to anyone who has completed an online enquiry form recently and is still awaiting a reply. I have been absolutely swamped with these over the last few weeks and it is taking me a while to get through them. Please be patient, I will get round to everyone eventually.

Hi Everyone,
A fabulous time was had around the fairs and many gorgeous treasures have been found. Some have been added to the site already with many others due to be added over the next week.
It is of course VALENTINE'S DAY soon and I thought I would share a quote that I read recently. 'Charms are symbols of unforgettable moments, they remind us of our dreams and who we are.' I thought it was very true. My own bracelet is full of individual stories and moments collected over the years with each charm reminding me of either the time, person or place that it came from. Whilst the charms I have bought myself are special to me it is the charms that have been given as presents that are so very precious. So, this Valentine's Day, if you are wanting to give a present that is a little different and something that will be treasured for many years to come, may I suggest a charm!

Hi Everyone,
I have just added lots of empty bracelets to the site. I hadn't managed to get caught up with those following the rush over Christmas but there is a nice selection available at the moment. The next two weeks are going to be a little mad as I have some of my favourite fairs and markets coming up including Kempton this week and then Lincoln and Newark the following week so I will be out and about quite a bit but it does mean that, hopefully, fantastic new treasures will be added soon. Please bear with me if parcels take a day longer than normal to dispatch though I will keep you informed of your individual orders.

'Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow'......well actually I would rather it didn't. It is playing havoc with business. It makes it difficult to get to the post office and even more difficult to get out to the markets and fairs to look for treasures for you all. Hence the rather slow start back after the Christmas holidays. I do have stock left over from before the break to get listed so there will be new items coming up over the next week or so but not the amount I was hoping for. Some lots are already listed so be sure to check those out. In the meantime, everyone, please take extra care out there!!

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick message to thank you all for your support over the last year. It has been an amazing year. I look forward to finding more charming treasures for you all in the New Year. No new items will be added now until after Christmas, and possibly not until after the New Year, as I desperately need time to catch up with friends and family who have been seriously neglected this year due to how busy I have been with the website. Obviously orders are welcome but dispatch may take a few days longer than normal over the holiday period. I shall send a quick newsletter when things are back up and running and pop an update on Facebook as well so you won't miss the new items.

Hi Everyone,
Lots of new charms being added over the next few days. My stock from Newark, Lincoln and Kempton has all got to be added and I picked up some lovely items. Quite a few are already listed, mainly the gold because so many of you have been asking for gold charms for Christmas presents, but also some fabulous Victorian charms have been added. Quite a few more to come so please keep checking back over the next few days. The last Christmas posting dates have now gone for overseas customers but you can still buy charms for yourselves ready for the New Year and UK customers still have plenty of Christmas shopping time left, 21st Dec 1st class and 23rd Dec Special Delivery.

There will be loads of new stock going on the site this week as I am planning to be in the office every day. I want to get the site nicely stocked as the following week I am off buying around the antiques fairs of Swinderby, Lincoln and Newark. We will also be getting close to the last posting days for some overseas customers for Christmas by then so please take note of the dates below:

If your order is required for Christmas please mention it in the additional information box on the order form so I know to process it as quickly as possible.

UK POSTAL STRIKE
Just a quick update for everyone, the postal strike is over! Phew!! An agreement has been made and there will be no more industrial action before Christmas. Fantastic news I'm sure you will agree. Hopefully everything will get back to normal very quickly. I will put up the last posting days for Christmas soon so you can all get your orders in in plenty of time.

Hi everyone,
The next few days are a bit hectic due to the number of antiques fairs that I am attending. I am at Kempton Antiques Market, Ardingly and Birmingham NEC. Order dispatch shouldn't be delayed but I will inform you when your order will be posted as I will have internet access whilst I am out and about. Please bear in mind that there may be further industrial action by Royal Mail towards the end of the week but I will let you know about this when it is confirmed for definate as talks are still taking place at the moment. Keep an eye on the website over the weekend as new treasures found this week will start to be added to the site then.

UK POSTAL STRIKE
Unfortunately talks have broken down and the postal strike within the UK is going ahead. Industrial action is taking place today (21st) affecting the sorting offices and tomorrow (22nd) affecting delivery staff. This will inevitably cause a backlog of deliveries which will take some time to sort. I am not posting any orders for the next few days as it will just add to the backlog. Any orders received will be posted on Monday 26th October. Further industrial action may be forthcoming in the next few weeks so I shall keep you updated as and when I find out any information.

Well, I have finally managed to add the article on Czech glass charms to the website. It is only about 3 months late but better late than never. Click the gorgeous green cat below to take a look now.
I had a fabulous time buying last week with many new goodies purchased. Some are already listed (and sold!) but there are plenty more to come. Next on my 'to do' list is the newsletter which will be sent, hopefully, within the week. As always, happy bargain hunting.

Hi Everyone,
I have been getting as much new stock on the website as I possibly can this week as I am once again off buying (anyone would think I enjoyed spending money!). It is a busy 7 days coming up for me though I still hope to be adding stock regularly. I have Peterborough on Friday, followed by Swinderby (which has relocated to Lincoln) on the following Tuesday and then Newark on the Thursday. None of these should effect web orders as they are only day trips but it will mean even more new stock to come in the following weeks. Keep an eye out for the newsletter which will be coming out shortly as there will be a charm offer within it that will be available to newsletter subscribers first before being made public on the website. If successful it may be something I do regularly with every newsletter. In the meantime, happy bargain hunting.

Ok so I haven't uploaded the article on Czech glass charms yet but I have added oodles of new lots to the site so I hope that makes up for it. I have been overloaded with new stock (5.5kg of 1960s & 70s silver charms for starters) which I want to get listed as many of you have already contacted me with wish lists for Christmas so I decided adding new stock was definately the priority. I will continue adding new stock, hopefully daily, over the next few weeks as I work my way through my new stock pile. Keep the wish lists coming.

I am finally getting some of my Newark and Swinderby stock listed on the website. There is lots more to come over the next few weeks including more hearts, enamels, gold charms and lots of silver from the Victorian period right through to the 1970s. I am hoping to add some more complete bracelets as I have picked up a few recently that have been particularly nice that I really don't want to split. I am also working on the next article for the website which is 'Czech Glass Charms'. I am hoping that will be ready within the next couple of weeks. For all you website subscribers there should also be a newsletter dropping into your inbox shortly with some previews of what is coming up. PS. Does anyone know who this fellow is? He is hallmarked for 1909 so is an old character. He is twisted right up to his neck and he has pointed ears. I thought he was out of something like Alice in Wonderland but I can't find anything out about him at all. Any help would be gratefully received at info@sandysvintagecharms.co.uk .

I am back from my travels and I think I have caught up with all my emails and orders. It was a great trip with lots of goodies bought. I will be gradually getting the items photographed and added to the site, hopefully some every day this week, so keep a close eye on the 'Most Recently Added' shop category. I am off on my travels for a week on Friday the 17th and should be back on the 25th. Please continue to order as normal whilst I am away but be aware that I won't be dispatching any parcels until my return. If you want to wait on payment until I am back, that will be fine. I am hoping to be able to pick up my emails via my mobile phone, it will all depend on the strength of the signal I can get when I am out and about, so I apologise if I am not as quick as normal in replying to any of your queries.
